When online, you can hit a new download button next to, for example, an episode of a show you’re watching so you can watch it later without an internet connection. You don’t need an extra plan to use it. Offline downloads will be available to all plans and on Android and iOS devices. Customers can update their app now and as long as they’re on iOS 8.0 or later or Android 4.4.2 or later, they can begin downloading.Eddy Wu, Director of Product Innovation, wrote in a company blog post that a few titles are already available for download, including Netflix originals Orange is the New Black, Narcos, and The Crown, and popular series like Supernatural and The Flash, and more will be on the way soon.
