According to an online Trooper dispatch, the caller claims to be a trooper in the sex offender/child kidnapper registry office. The person then tells the victim that they are out of compliance and threatens arrest if a sum of money is not paid. AST says this is a scam. The Troopers, nor any other law enforcement agency in Alaska, will ever contact people and demand money to paid over the phone.
