The wedding was advertised to be shown from 10.30am.“There was a misunderstanding of the enormity of the logistics involved”.Mayor Maria Byrne said that it would take from the event to remove the wedding.“They are only showing it so people can see the style at the wedding.“There are 20 businesses showcasing their wares and it is a positive event.“If the wedding isn’t shown people will probably stay at home”. We want to appeal to people to be a little more even more excited about the fundraising, which is the central purpose of the walk,” Royer said. Share Share

6 October 2014The opening of a new wind tower manufacturing plant in the Western Cape, will expand South Africa’s manufacturing base, provide much-needed jobs and spur economic growth in the country. The R300-million Gestamp Renewable Industries (GRI) wind tower manufacturing factory will produce 150 wind tower masts a year for the local and export market, said Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies at the official launch of the plant on 5 November.“The opening of this facility is welcomed by the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) as part of our drive to expand the capabilities of the South African manufacturing industry and to increase the country’s industrial base. The Green Economy has been identified as a key focus area in the Department’s Industrial Policy Action Plan, and provides significant opportunities for job creation and economic growth,” said Davies.Located in Atlantis, a town in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality, the wind tower manufacturing plant will employ more than 200 people some of whom will go through training in specialised fabrication processes.Trade and Investment South Africa (TISA), a division of the dti, worked closely with Green Cape, a development agency established to support the growth of the green economy in the Western Cape, to provide a seamless investment experience for GRI. Davies said the development incentive grant received from the dti was put to good use in constructing the Atlantis facility which has become a landmark in the area.“the dti is working closely with the green industries sector to develop policies that will enable further investment. We launched a study on localisation for the manufacturing of PV solar panels in South Africa. A similar study is currently being undertaken for the localisation potential in the wind industry,” said Davies.City of Cape Town executive mayor Patricia de Lille said the GRI production facility is the first major investment that the City has attracted through its pilot Investment Incentive Scheme in Atlantis. She said together with the dti, the Western Cape government and Green-Cape, the City is working towards the designation of a Special Economic Zone in Atlantis “where even more green technology companies will be incentivised to do business here’.“In so doing, the City of Cape Town will be playing its part in the protection of our environment, the strengthening of our economy, and improving the lives of residents,’ she said.GRI is the second wind tower investor in South Africa after DCD Dorbyl invested R300million in a wind tower plant in the Coega Industrial Development Zone in Port Elizabeth. DCD Dorbyl used the former Manufacturing Investment Programme grant from the dti to set up the Coega plant which is currently manufacturing 110 towers per year.SAinfo reporter

A good team, too.Wade and James spent four seasons together with the Heat, winning two championships and making the Finals four times as a duo as devastating as any in league history. They’ll now join forces on a Cleveland team that saw Kyrie Irving traded to Boston and the roster get remodeled by adding Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, former league MVP Derrick Rose and free agents Jeff Green and Jose Calderon.Wade has talked to coach Tyronn Lue about his role and seems assured that he’ll be in the mix for a starting job.“You want to earn your spot, but I definitely wanted to make sure it wasn’t something that was off the table,” Wade said. “I don’t want ever to be given anything in this league. I want to feel like I earned it. That’s kind of how you want it coming to a new team. … This is a deep team. That really excited me about the potential of this team and what you need to compete with a Golden State. You need a deep team to compete with them.”Wade has said many times that a fourth ring isn’t a make-or-break goal for him. His legacy is secure. He’s a certain Hall of Famer. He’s one of the best to ever play the game. That doesn’t mean another title is irrelevant, though. And he gave back about $8 million in the buyout with the Bulls to get this chance, after taking smaller-than-he-could-have-gotten deals in Miami multiple times to help the Heat and their championship quests.“I want to compete for it,” Wade said. “I’ve always said if I don’t win another one, it’s not going change the course of my career and what I’ve been able to accomplish. But as everyone knows, as has been very highly documented, some of it documented the wrong way, I’ve probably given back the most money of any player in NBA history. And it’s always been to be in position to compete for a championship.”The Cavaliers have been to the last three NBA Finals; add the Miami years in there, and James has been to the title round in seven consecutive seasons.Wade hasn’t played a June game since 2014.He’s hoping that changes in 2018.
