A man driving a Chrysler 300 crashed into a trailer truck and careened through a fence off Northeast Covington Road on Thursday afternoon.Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Neiman said responders suspect the crash resulted from a medical situation, and no citations have been issued.The crash happened at Northeast Covington Road and Northeast 102nd Avenue at about 12:18 p.m., according to an alert from Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency.Emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian suggested the driver was trapped following the crash, but Neiman said that wasn’t the case. It’s unclear if the man was conscious during the response, the sergeant said.The man was driving southbound on Covington Road when he ran through a red light and crashed into a trailer truck owned by a landscaping business. Then, the car continued through a fence and ended up against a power pole, Neiman said. Two people who were in the landscaping truck were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Neiman said. “More as a precaution than anything,” he said.
